Tourism Development Authority

The Surry County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) was established by the North Carolina General Assembly in 2009. The Authority expends remitted occupancy tax revenues to promote travel and tourism in the unincorporated areas of the county. The Authority participates in the Tourism Partnership of Surry County, a collaboration with the four municipal TDA's (i.e. Dobson, Elkin, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain). The Tourism Partnership manages a countywide marketing program with funding provided by all five TDA's.

Meetings are typically held six times a year during the months of January, March, May, July, September and November. Please refer to the calendar for meeting dates and details.
