County Launches Public Records Request Portal

Surry County has launched a new public records request portal that provides greater transparency. Citizens will use the portal to request public records from County departments and agencies. 

The new portal provides a service not previously available to the public. All previous requests and responsive documents made via the portal will be viewable going forward. Some citizens may find information they seek without having to submit a new request.

To access the portal, visit, click on "Transparency", then click on "Public Records Request". You will also find other commonly requested public information on the Transparency page.
